Surveys for burrowing owl will be conducted as part of the project review process for public and private projects within the burrowing owl survey area, where suitable habitat is present. MSHCP 6.3.2, Figure 6-4. An attached document describing burrowing owl survey protocols can be accessed by using ArcCatalog to view metadata properties and opening the document 'BUOW-ACCEPTED COUNTY SURVEY GUIDELINE.DOC' Please note that this document is in its preliminary state and has not been officially sanctioned by counsel. Additional reference protocol information for bird species (PROTOCOLS-BIRDS.DOC) put together by Dudek and Assoc. for the MSHCP is also attached and can be accessed using the same procedure.
